Met ya the other night at the Boulder Rec Ctr. Very interesting stuff. You might like, also, Ken Turkowski's stuff. In particular, check out his gamma correction page at "turk/computergraphics/gamma.html".
It has thoze "zone plate" images I mentioned, that quickly test a display by
showing all possible spatial
frequencies.
Cheers,
Craig

I enjoy learning from your the information on your site Norman. I was wondering what utility you use to capture the image of dialogs (i.e. printer driver or application) into you're work?
Again, thanks for sharing what is obviously a passion for you.

My friend Sol Schwartz recommended your site. I am a long-time serious amateur photographer and Wow- I am really impressed Your relating zone system to neutral gray is fantastic. and you provided the only accurate review of the XPan. Still mostly in the darkroom, but will soon begin to scan my 6x7 and 24x65mm negs. Look forward tocommentson the 3900.

I ran accidently into your site - and I'm really impressed. Keep going, although sites like yours can be somehow frustrating for amateurs like me because they make clear, how long the way to go still is.

I have need of some advise. Would you mind letting me know where I can e-mail a little of myself to you?
I have printed almost all of your making fine prints and promise to study the wonderful article. Needless to say I am a novice with much to learn and not sure where to start. I love photography and making my own greeting cards. I am 63 and looking forward to sharing my work in places such as gift shops to augment my retirement which may not happen till I'm 90. Sir, I feel your are most probably the best to turn to. Thanks for your consideration of my plea. --Del Birdsall

I'm looking to buy a flatbed scanner for my prints. I already have a Dimage Scan Dual II (clumsy name). When you want to sell that Epson 2450 I'd be interested. If it's already gone, what would you recommend. Retail cost of the 2450 is just a bit beyond my upper limit.
Great website, too. Yours and DPREVIEW are the two sites I recommend it to all my friends who ask me what digital camera to buy
Thanks, Bob

I like your landscapes and the light touch in the darkroom. I greatly appreciate all the help with your articles and reviews. My 1960's slides from when I lived in Alaska and the Dominican Republic started to deteriorate, a great incentive to start my digital darkroom. Epson 2450 & 2200. Still learning how best to do things.

Fantasite landscapes. I can definitely see an Ansel Adams influence. I will be looking forward to seeing more. I shoot 35mm, scan with my Epson 2450 (that I think is excellent) and print on Epson 1270 or Canon S9000.

I wanted to ask whether you have n opinion as yet, on the new Epson 3200 flatbed/film scanner? I am considering replacing my Canon 2400U and the Epson seems a step up in quality and resolution. What do you think?
